Snowflake Pie

Santa brought me the most amazing snowflake plunger/cutters for Christmas this year! My mom and I put them to good use today: Mixed Berry Snowflake Pie!

My mom made this glorious filling, and the truth is that we used a Pillsbury crust. In order to use the plunger/cutters, we needed to have the dough at a very uniform thickness, so I cut corners here. Next time the crust will be home made.

Prep! Note to self: this is actually a little over-full.

The filling bubbled over, and I did my best to keep the edges from burning. Not flawless, but a lovely attempt at my first ever Snowflake pie.

  2. Thanks! I was really excited that the punches actually worked and that the crust didn't get stuck in those tiny crevices.

When are you and Marco coming to visit? I'll make you a pie!
